During my early teenage years I became fascinated with how buildings were constructed, their architecture and engineering. A lot of this was because my dad owned an engineering company and I’d often ask him how everyday objects were made. Another hobby of my dad’s was cabinet making, in particular he used to dabble with long case clocks and I thought the woodwork and craftsmanship was outstanding.

I found myself at 18 years old not really knowing what I wanted to do in life. I had just enrolled to do a Biomechanics degree thinking I’d go down the sports route. As much as I enjoyed the course, I soon realised I was very practical and enjoyed using raw materials to create everyday items. Whilst at university, I got myself a part time job at a joinery firm learning bench joinery basics and every since then I found a passion I not only enjoyed, but was pretty good at.

Since university I had a full time job in retail. As good as the pay was, I realised there’s more to life and I wanted to enjoy what I was doing on a daily basis. After constructing an Oak conservatory, building an extension to our house and working with wood I came to the conclusion that indoor furniture was for me. That lead me on the path to starting a business during early lockdown, as this gave me time to organise my workshop, play around with some projects and people started showing a strong interest in my work.

I very much enjoy woodwork and furniture making, but things became serious and I have committed myself to working as hard as I can to ensure this business is a success. It brings me great delight and pleasure bringing peoples ideas on paper, to a product in their home or business.
